About Me

Hi, I’m Brenda, a recent graduate of the University of St Andrews where I studied English and Film Studies. I have been a Disney fan for basically my entire life, and it’s actually what got me interested in Film Studies to begin with. When it came time to write my dissertation, it came as no surprise to anyone who knew me that I entitled it  ‘If the Glass slipper Fits: Examining the Disney Princesses as Models of Womanhood’. Much of my work on my dissertation involved researching the production histories of  Disney films.  I loved doing this research, so much so that  I decided to create this blog. Here I will share all the fun behind-the-scenes Disney film histories I can discover. I might even cover some current Disney news too. And because I know the question is bound to come up eventually, my favourite Disney films are: Mulan, Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl, Brave, Atlantis: The Lost Empire, and Alice in Wonderland. Hope you enjoy my blog.
